Who are we?
We are a small friendly club based in Maldon, Essex. As a club, we have members ranging from hardened triathlon veterans to complete novices. They compete in everything from Supersprints to Ironmans and everything in between.
Would you like to join us?
If you have ever fancied trying your hand at a triathlon, come and join us. You may have one booked already, or you’ve been competing for years. Either way, we would love to have you join us. All new members get 2 free trial sessions before having to join, so there’s nothing to loose!

What do we do?
The Blackwater Triathlon club has been established for over 25 years, we are a small friendly club based in Maldon, Essex.
We have an established membership covering all age groups within Triathlon. We range from the Junior club tri-starts all the way through to super veterans. Members race at anything from local short course all the way through to Long course international events.
We have regular weekly pool based sessions dedicated to swimming, held at the Blackwater Leisure Centre. At the weekends we have social bike rides, training runs and the use of our own open water swimming lake during the warmer months. We also run regular training events from the leisure centre and the lake with aquathlons through the winter and triathlons in the summer.
As well as our training we also run a Charity Triathlon each year raising funds for the club and local charities. It is great to be part of the team that puts on a fun, friendly event perfect for people attending their first event and those used to competing alike.
